Overview

The WBR Survivor Filter is the replacement cartridge for the SURVIVOR Water Bottle and will effectively remove a wide variety of contaminants commonly found in contaminated tap water, rivers, streams, lakes, and other naturally occurring water sources. The Survivor Filter packs two proprietary and patented forms of technology into one water bottle.

Benefits

Here’s a look at some of the best reasons to treat yourself to the everyday convenience of fresh water from a handy filtered water bottle.

Clean, safe water. A filtered water bottle isn’t just a handy way to quench your thirst—it’s a way to get your body the clean, safe, healthy water it demands each day! Especially if you live in an area with lackluster water quality or unreliable tap water, a filtered bottle is a great way to nourish your wellbeing, one sip at a time.

Filtration convenience. Even if you’re just walking around your house, a filtered water bottle is the most convenient way to get clean water. Instead of making a trip back to the tap each time you’re thirsty, you can swig a sip from your bottle. And, if you do leave home, the many benefits of a filtered water bottle go with you.

Reduce plastic waste. Remember that 24-pack of plastic water bottles you buy every week or two? Where do you think those bottles end up? Unfortunately, they’re rarely recycled, which means they’ll end up in a landfill more often than not. Relying on a reusable filtered water bottle means reducing your environmental impact—by a lot.

Cost savings. Speaking of single-use plastic bottles, those costs add up! If you spend $5 per week on water bottles, that amounts to $260 each year! For a fraction of the price, you can buy a reusable filtered water bottle and replacement filters that last far longer—and provide a higher standard of water quality.

Encourages hydration. We’re creatures of habit, which means we tend to do things without thinking about them once they’re familiar to us. If you want to get better about hydration, keep a filtered water bottle handy. You’ll quickly get used to sipping from it, and will start to drink second-nature, leading to healthier hydration levels each day.

Can be alkalizing. The problem with store-bought purified water is that it’s completely void of many essential minerals. As a result, you end up with water that’s almost neutral on the pH scale (7). In reality, you should strive for slightly alkaline water (8-9). A filtered water bottle will leave those healthy minerals in, for a better pH.

Health benefits. All of the above benefits add up to one major one: improved daily health. When you hydrate more often, with better water quality, you’re giving your body what it needs to stay strong. This alone is enough to justify the cost of a filtered water bottle!

Technology

The Survivor will effectively remove a wide variety of contaminants commonly found in contaminated tap water, rivers, streams, lakes, and other naturally occurring water sources. The Survivor bottle is made from BPA-free and Phthalate-free plastic and packs two proprietary and patented forms of technology into one water bottle filter.

1. Aquaspace® Compound The Aquaspace® Compound is a patented blend of charge modified activated carbon created using NASA technology, and designed to filter out organic and inorganic chemicals without lowering the pH value of the water and without removing essential minerals like calcium and magnesium. It has been tested and certified by the National Testing Laboratories according to ANSI/NSF Standards for the reduction of:

  • Lead
  • Chlorine
  • Taste, Odor, Color
  • Gases such as Radon
  • Trihalomethanes
  • Organic Halides
  • Industrial Solvents
  • Herbicides
  • Pesticides
  • Pharmaceuticals
  • And 55 of the most common VOCs

2. Microbial Hollow Fiber The microbial hollow fiber is a proprietary patent pending technology intended for use on microbiological impurities. The hollow fiber works to effectively remove 99.9% of bacteria, parasites such as Cryptosporidium and Giardia, and cysts from the water. It is certified under NSF P231 performance standard for microbiological purifiers, a performance standard that requires a strenuous product testing to verify that the water filter can convert microbiologically compromised water into safe drinking water.

The P231 certification is generally required by organizations such as schools, restaurants, military bases, and food processing plants for the highest level of drinking water quality.

Customer Reviews

The Aquaspace Survivor has become my go to travel water bottle not just for hikes but for everyday use. I usually try to fill it up before I leave home, or keep it with me in the car, or have it on my desk at work. But honestly I don't even have to worry about filling it up before I leave because pretty much anywhere I go will have a sink, faucet, or tap that I can fill up there. If I’m walking on a trail here in my new home in the Pacific Northwest, or hiking in national parks, or climbing a mountain – it's always in my pack.

There’s no better source of water than fresh from a spring or stream. In my experience, whether you’re on a local hike, camping off the grid, trying to avoid the nasty tap water at work, or just want a solid emergency filter, the Survivor bottle will give you the filtered water you're looking for.
