There are 2 models in our IQAir Dental Air Purifier Series, the Dental Pro and the Dental Hg FlexVac (Hg is the Latin symbol for mercury). The Dental Series Purifiers operate based on our President’s favorite, chemistry principles of course, and broad or specific control of Dental Contaminants. When the Dental Series Purifiers are tested, the following is revealed:

The Dental Pro is a mobile air purifier that has been specially developed to filter those gases and particulates found in the ambient air of your dental practice. Your Dental Pro uses five filtration stages to help eliminate common dental office contaminants, such as bacteria, viruses, VOCs, disinfectant odours and mercury vapours. It is designed to be placed anywhere in a dental office and clean the air by constant recirculation within the office.

The Dental Hg FlexVac is a mobile source-capture air purifier with a flexible, self-supporting suction duct that gets placed close to your patient’s head preventing contaminants from reaching the ambient air in your dental office. 3.  Micro-charged Filtration (Post Filter Sleeves)
Eliminates activated carbon and chemisorption abrasion particles through a statically charged fiber structure. Filter life: 1– 3 years based on 8 to 10 hours of daily operation using speed 3 or 4.

2. Specialized Cartridge-Based Molecular Control
Four filter cartridges hold up to 12 lbs. of granular and/or pellet-shaped gas phase control media. Filter life: 1– 3 years based on 8 to 10 hours of daily operation using speed 3 or 4.

1. Micro- and Nano-Particle Filtration
Eliminates micro- and nano-particles such as allergens, smoke, bacteria and viruses. This thorough particle pre-filtration is essential for extending the life of the gas phase control media by preventing its pores from clogging with particulates. Filter life: 6 – 18 months based on 8 to 10 hours of daily operation using speed 3 or 4.

What we are not excited about:

• Wheel casters sometimes need replacement after breaking but IQAir realized this also and the result is a stronger caster with less frequent replacement. (Purahome ships them free of charge anyways!)
• Contemporary look is great but for a smaller room with tight quarters, the size can be relatively obtrusive especially with the Hg FlexVac Model.
• Top speed is powerful but loud so in talking to our customers, they use it wisely (on lower-medium speeds when nearby at work and on high speed when the Purifier is further away or the office is closed)
 

Warranty: 2 years - IQAir and Purahome are proud to cover these air purifiers in Canada for a full 2 years against defects in parts and labour. Filters as consumables, are exempt from this warranty.
