Not only is Purahome Canada’s longest-standing Authorized IQAir Dealer, we are the first company to install the Perfect 16 in Canada. Many years ago when we started selling IQAir Portable Purifiers, we spoke with IQAir about the need for an installable IQAir Whole Home Air Cleaner. IQAir agreed. Because some homes do not have the space for a bypass installation of a Whole Home HEPA Air Cleaner, Purahome had searched for some time for an alternative Air Cleaner. The important key though being that the alternative air cleaner also provide HEPA quality air for an entire home. Our Most Challenging Job to Date….A Cement Processing Plant! 
 
We received a call from Cotton Construction Inc., a cement processing plant in need of help for much improved air quality. There was concern for the employees and all the vast amount of computer equipment. Every day a fine layer of cement dust covers the office area and computer equipment. After analyzing the duct work and HVAC system, we concluded that the best option would be a Perfect 16 with its own separate motorized blower to prevent any airflow restriction in an in-line installation due to accumulation of cement dust. After the Perfect 16 installation, our particle testing revealed that the air in the processing plant was 67% cleaner than outside air and the cement dust had been greatly reduced. The company is thrilled. We were quite amazed when we also found that after 8 months (the filters were totally caked with cement dust) the performance was still above MERV 16 standards with 98.97% efficiency at 0.3 microns and airflow was reduced by only 12.9 %!  Absolutely Fantastic!
